About freddie

having always been a fan of great design and craftsmanship I've recently become a humble contributor to the world of jewellery

the time has come for.. Freddie and Cinnamon sample sale!

Hello, lovely people!

Hope you had an amazing Christmas, ate and drunk far too much and are now looking forward to NYE parties – where is everyone going? Olga and I are going to a 20s themed party in a secret location in London – we’ll tell you all about it!

Now, Freddie and Cinnamon have been going for a few months now and while designing our main collections we gathered a fair amount of samples and one-off pieces that never made their way to our website. Since January is a month of bargains, sales and all sort of clearance events we want to join in so we’ve just opened our eBay outlet, where you can buy some of our samples and prototypes at a fraction of their true price.

Here are some jewellery pieces you can find there:

happy bargain shopping!

The Ruins of Detroit by Yves Marchand

Hello everyone! just wanted to share with you yet another photo project that left me in an awe! I think the project is best described by artists statement:

“Ruins are the visible symbols and landmarks of our societies and their changes, small pieces of history in suspension.

The state of ruin is essentially a temporary situation that happens at some point, the volatile result of change of era and the fall of empires. This fragility, the time elapsed but even so running fast, lead us to watch them one very last time: being dismayed, or admire, making us wondering about the permanence of things.

Photography appeared to us as a modest way to keep a little bit of this ephemeral state.”

Below is the selection of my favourite photos, you can see the entire collection and read more about the project here

Summer jewellery

Summer jewellery
As summer finally made it to London, after the hottest weekend of the year, we share with you summer jewellery inspiration. Hope you’re enjoying the sun!

comfy cinema

I recently stumbled upon these pictures – this is supposedly the comfiest cinema in the world. Instead of regular chairs it has these bean-baggy type, two seat sofas so people can cuddle without any obstacles.

This is one of the TGV Cinemas in Malaysia, known as the Beanie Plex. How do you like it?

However squishy and comfy it looks I’m not quite sure I would like to watch a movie there with my other half; he would definitely fall asleep in the first 15 minutes and that would be so much for a romantic, cuddly date. Should there not be cinemas where there are very uncomfortable seats that keep boyfriends/husbands awake all throughout the rom-coms and dramas with Diane Lane? 🙂
